The Washington Redskins achieved their second win of the season at the very last second of the game with a 22-yard field goal by kicker Kai Forbath. The Redskins won the game, 19-17, over the Tennessee Titans.
Titans quarterback Charlie Whitehurst had thrown the go-ahead touchdown pass with just under eight minutes remaining, but the Redskins were able to pull out the rug from under the Titans after they committed a costly pass interference penalty.
Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins was benched in favor of Colt McCoy, and McCoy rose to the challenge by throwing for 128 yards and a touchdown on 11-of-12 passing.
Most of these yards came on a 70-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Pierre Garcon, who finished with five catches for 87 yards and a touchdown.
For the Titans, Whitehurst threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns with one interception on 17-of-26 passing. Running back Bishop Sankey ran for 56 yards on 16 carries. Wide receiver Kendall Wright caught six passes for 68 yards and a touchdown.
