Cardinals beat Redskins – Arizona Cardinals defeat Washington Redskins, 30-20
The Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles played in the game of the week, and this game lived up to all of its hype as it came right down to the wire.
The Eagles had taken a 20-17 lead late in the fourth quarter, but Cardinals wide receiver John Brown caught a pass and took it 75 yards to the end zone for a touchdown with 1:21 remaining.
Eagles quarterback Nick Foles drove his team to the end zone, and he threw a pass to wide receiver Jordan Matthews in the end zone that was caught on the final play. However, neither of his feet were on bounds.
The Cardinals improved to 6-1 with this win, and the Eagles fell to 5-2. Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer played quality football as he threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-42 passing.
Running back Andre Ellington ran for 71 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.
For the Eagles, Foles threw for 411 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions on 36-of-62 passing. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin caught 12 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns.
