The Arizona Cardinals continued to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with in the NFL as they improved to 7-1 with a 28-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys held a 10-0 lead in the first quarter after cornerback Tyler Patmon came up with a pick-six, but the Cardinals pulled away with 28 unanswered points.
Quarterback Carson Palmer threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns with one interception on 22-of-34 passing. Running back Andre Ellington rushed for 95 yards on 21 carries.
Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught five passes for 70 yards to lead the Cardinals in receiving.
For the Cowboys, quarterback Tony Romo missed the game with a back injury, and his absence was felt as Brandon Weeden struggled with 183 yards and one touchdown and two interceptions.
Running back DeMarco Murray was unable to reach 100 yards again as he was held to 79 yards on 19 carries. Tight end Jason Witten led the Cowboys in receiving with six receptions for 62 yards.
