Chicago Bulls star Nikola Mirotic sustained a strained quad and a swollen knee late in Monday night’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks and will be re-evaluated on Tuesday morning.

Mirotic was involved in two scuffles with Zaza Pachulia in the fourth quarter of the 91-82 win, first being struck in the head by an elbow before the pair then tangled on the floor for a loose ball just a minute later.
The Montenegrin star will be re-evaluated for the quad strain, swollen knee and concussion after he was seen wincing in pain on the bench while being attended to do by the medical team before returning to the locker room before the end of the game.
The Bulls forward scored eight points in 22 minutes and has emerged as a vital spark off the bench for coach Tom Thibodeau this season, and so they will be hopeful that it isn’t anything serious that will see him miss any playing time.
Point guard Derrick Rose was adamant that Mirotic is more than prepared for the NBA playoff style and atmosphere as he has been involved in enough battles in Europe and so hopes that he will be able to return for Game 3.
Chicago lead the series 2-0 after two battling wins at home, and they will want to put Milwaukee under immediate pressure on the road and claim a win next time out to push them to the brink of elimination.
Jimmy Butler was the star of Game 2 as he scored 31 points for a career playoff-high, but the second unit is vital for the Bulls with Mirotic and Aaron Brooks providing solid minutes and scoring as back-up options off the bench which is likely to play a huge role in determining this series.
