Manchester United have reportedly dismissed rumours that they have made a massive offer for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as “nonsense”.
The England striker was left out of Tottenham’s 2-0 Audi Cup win over AC Milan on Wednesday, prompting suggestions that United had launch a big-money bid to sign him.
But Old Trafford sources have insisted to the Daily Express that the reports are a load of rubbish.

Kane, who scored 31 goals for Spurs in all competitions last season after emerging as Mauricio Pochettino’s first-choice striker, has already committed himself to staying at White Hart Lane.
But that has not stopped him being linked with a £40m transfer for the Red Devils, who are looking to bring in support for Wayne Rooney in attack after getting rid of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.
Tottenham travel to United for the opening game of the Premier League season on Saturday lunchtime.
