A North Melbourne player is under investigation after allegedly robbing a taxi driver in South Australia.
The incident reportedly occured in the early hours of Sunday October 12.
The player in question was one of two men involved in an incident where the driver was allegedly threatened and had money stolen.
In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, the Kangaroos said: “The North Melbourne Football Club can confirm that a member of its playing list is currently assisting South Australian Police in relation to an incident that is alleged to have occurred in South Australia earlier this month.
“As this is a matter of ongoing police enquiry, no further comment will be made by the club until it is in a position to do so.”
South Australian police say the driver was unhurt in the incident.
