North Queensland have signed Kelepi Tanginoa on a two-year deal.
North Queensland have signed young Eels back-rower Kelepi Tanginoa on a two-year deal beginning in 2015.
The 20-year-old has played 13 first grade games for Parramatta, but has only managed four this season.
Tanginoa was part of New South Wales’ under-20 State of Origin side last year.
Cowboys general football manager Peter Parr said Tanginoa was an exciting young talent that fans will enjoy watching play.
“We believe Kelepi is one of the best young back-row talents in the NRL and expect he will thrive with the Cowboys,” Parr said.
“He’ll be determined to become a regular first grader in 2015 and he’ll get the opportunity to do that with us.
“We’re confident he will be a long-term success and our members and fans will thoroughly enjoy watching him play his footy.”
Tanginoa joins Jake Granville (Brisbane), Tim Glasby (Melbourne) and Kyle McConnell (Burleigh) in signing with the Cowboys for the 2015 season.
