North Queensland prop James Tamou was taken to hospital after suffering a potential injury to his neck in his side’s victory over the Canterbury Bulldogs.
However, the Cowboys took exception to some media outlets reporting that the representative prop had suffered a potential broken neck, saying they were jumping to conclusions very early in the diagnosis after being taken from the field in the 19th minute of the game.
Fans and followers of the club on Twitter expressed their disgust at the headlines coming so soon in the wake of Alex McKinnon’s spinal injury which ended his NRL career earlier this season.
James Tamou has some "pins and needles" affecting one arm and is awaiting scans. #ridemcowboys
