The Warriors looked to have the game won when they were 24-22 in front with less than two minutes on the clock. But Granville barged over for his third try to win the game in amazing fashion.
Konrad Hurrell opened the scoring ater the Cowboys comically failed to field a kick.
Shaun Johnson then set up a try and the Warriors had an early 12-0 lead.
But then the Cowboys slipped into gear. Granville finished off a flowing move for his first four-pointer.
A Kane Linnett try cut the scores to 12-10.
In the second-half big Manu Vatuvei put the Warriors further in front.
But in stepped Lachlan Coote to give North Queensland some hope.
Soon after Granville grabbed his second in sniping fashion. New Zealand’s lead was just two points with nine minutes left.
And the rookie rake still had another try in him. He burst through the smallest of holes and scored again in a game he will long remember.
