Steven Defour top of Chris Hughton’s transfer targets this summer.
In a bid to avoid another relegation battle next season, Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is planning a sensational bid to bring Porto midfielder Steven Defour to Carrow Road.
The Belgian signed for the Portuguese club two years ago for £20m but he has failed to permanently hold down a first team spot, and this has alerted the attention of the East Anglian club, reports talkSPORT.
The Canaries have already signed Ricky Van Wolfswinkel for next season, an addition which has gone some way to showing the fans that the club are determined to move away from the relegation battlers and establish themselves as a Premier League outfit.
Belgium international Defour has 37 caps for his country, and that experience will go a long way to helping this young side develop next year, after a campaign that saw them on the verge of relegation and dumped out of the FA Cup by non-league Luton Town.
