Juventus’ Quagliarella and Ajax defender Alderweireld set for Carrow Road.
Norwich City may continue to make waves in the transfer market after reports from the continent suggested the Canaries are closing in on deals to sign Juventus’ Fabio Quagliarella and Ajax defender Toby Alderwiereld.
According to Italian source Tuttomercato, former Italy international Quagliarella has been told he is surplus to requirements in Turin following the arrival of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City and the 30-year-old is closing in a move to Carrow Road.
The striker has scored over 100 league goals in Italy during spells with Torino, Sampdoria, Udinese, Napoli and Juve among others.
Quagiliarella scored 13 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for the Old Lady last term but could now join Ricky van Wolfswinkel in a new look strike force under Norwich boss Chris Hughton.
Alderwiereld, meanwhile, has been previously linked with Liverpool and Tottenham but the 24-year-old is set to discuss personal terms with the Canaries after they agreed an €8m fee with the Eredivisie champions, according to Dutch source Telegraaf.
Dutch international Van Wolfswinkel arrived at Norwich earlier in the summer after a agreeing a €12m (£10.35m) switch in March.
