fanatix says: The Parramatta Eels can’t get much worse than they have been the last couple of seasons.
Fresh off again finishing with the wooden-spoon thanks to their 5-19 record, the Eels have cleaned house and tried to shake things up with a raft of new players being signed.
The biggest names on the addition list are Will Hopoate (unattached), Lee Mossop (Wigan), Nathan Peats (Rabbitohs) and Corey Norman (Broncos).
Plenty of attention will be Hopoate as to whether he can recapture the form that saw him dubbed one of the most exciting wingers seen in the last 10 years before waling away from the game for two years due to his religious beliefs.
Norman will also have plenty of pressure after making the big money move from Brisbane, but the Eels will most need to improve their defence, which gave up 740 points last year, while at the same time sparking offence, which was also a comp-worst 13.5 a game.
Check out highlights of Will Hopoate’s impressive 2011 season with the Manly Sea Eagles.
