fanatix says: New players Sam Williams and Gareth Widdop will form the new halves combination for the Dragons in the wake of Jamie Soward and Nathan Fien leaving the club.

Three years ago the idea of Soward leaving the Dragons would have sent their fans in meltdown, but now, after his brief stint in the English Super League after he left the NRL, it hardly rates a mention.

The Dragons were one of the biggest disappointments last season as they stumbled on their way to winning just seven games, and at one stage flirted with winning the wooden spoon.

if St George get off to another poor start, expect the pressure on coach Steve Price to go through the roof again.
