South Sydney star set to cop a week for his tackle on James Tedesco.
Rabbitohs forward George Burgess is facing one week on the sidelines for his high shot on Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco after being charged with a grade two careless high tackle.
Tedesco was a marked man against the Rabbitohs after being at the receiving end of three high tackles.
Bunnies flyer Bryson Goodwin also faces a week on the same charge for a hit on Tedesco, but can escape a ban with an early plea.
Souths forward Ben Te’o also caught Tedesco high and was slapped with a grade one careless charge but will escape any penalty.
Manly’s Jason King is looking at a maximum two weeks after he was charged with a grade one shoulder charge on Peni Terepo.
King will still miss Friday night’s grand final replay with the Roosters if he takes the early plea.
Tigers utility James Gavet could consider himself lucky to only be facing a week on a detrimental conduct charge for kneeing Burgess after a brain-snap.
Gavet will be free to play the Warriors on Saturday night with an early plea.
Panthers enforcer Adam Docker is also facing a one-week suspension for a dangerous throw on Canterbury prop James Graham, while Kane Evans from the Roosters won’t miss any game time for his grade one high tackle on the Broncos’ Matt Matt Gillett.
