A wrap up of the NRL opening round.
South Sydney Rabbitohs v Sydney Roosters
The pre-match hype was all around the Roosters and Sonny Bill Williams but it was the Bunnies that demanded attention once the game kicked off. For the first game of the 2013 season South Sydney gave a brilliant display of strong running forwards and quick movement on the wings which produced plenty of points for the green, red and white. The only casualty was Sam Burgess being slapped with a one week ban for his challenge on Mitchell Pierce.
The Roosters however looked lost, even when they had possession they struggled to look dangerous in attack. More time together as a team should see the premiership hopefuls gel together and start playing better football.
