Brisbane Broncos vs Manly Sea Eagles
The Broncos’ first game of the year was a perfect example of their entire 2012 season. They started strongly, attacked in droves with Scott Prince and Peter Wallace combining particularly well, but after halftime they let it all slide away. Mistakes piled up and they gave away soft tries to let Manly back in the game. In the end Manly upped the intensity and the Broncos had already given up after blowing such a strong halftime lead.
Playing for the full 80 minutes with the intensity they showed in the first half the Broncos will be a dangerous outfit but until then all their opponents need to do is outlast them. Manly were playing well however and Daly Cherry-Evans was in fine form, showing the Sea Eagles they still have a bright future ahead of them.
