Parramatta Eels vs New Zealand Warriors
Parramatta fans got to see something that has been absent from their team for too long: The Hayne Plane. As two of the highest paid players in the NRL, Jarryd Hayne and Chris Sandow were among the worst under-performers of the 2012 season. But when they are playing well, the whole team plays well, and they showed that on Saturday.
Jarryd Hayne is one of the most dangerous players for an opposition team when on song. When Hayne is happy, the fans are happy – and both Hayne and the fans were very happy this week as the Eels cruised to a 40-10 thrashing of the Warriors.
The Warriors struggled to find any rhythm and made too many mistakes which the Eels punished them for. The scoreline should be a rude awakening to the Warriors and illustrate that they need to get the basics right before they can start playing creative football.
