Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is expected to land a contract worth over $100 million, which will make it extremely difficult for the Detroit Lions to re-sign him.

They’re making their best efforts, but so are many other NFL teams. Among these teams are the Oakland Raiders, who are reportedly planning to meet with the expensive free agent next week.
The Lions would have been forced to pay Suh $26.7 million to give him the franchise tag, so they declined to use it on him.
In addition to the Raiders, Suh is being pursued by the Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars.
If Suh leaves the Lions, their defensive line can only get worse as they ranked first in the NFL in run defense in 2014.
Suh also gave the Lions a fierce pass rush as he has compiled 36 sacks in the first five seasons of his career.
He would instantly improve the Raiders defense, which is already on the rise with outside linebacker Khalil Mack putting together a promising rookie season with 75 tackles and four sacks.
