Seattle Sounders striker tweeted on Sunday after arrival of Clint Dempsey.
Ex- Newcastle and Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins has released a post on twitter calling for his Seattle Sounders teammate Eddie Johnson to receive a new contract.
My boy @eddie_johnson7 deserves a new contract ASAP. Somebody needs to make that happen. #SoundersFc

Martins and Johnson have been playing up front together for the Sounders, who recently signed Clint Dempsey from Tottenham. Dempsey has filled the third designated player spot which means Eddie Johnson’s prospect of becoming a high earning DP will not come to fruition at the Sounders, this season at least.
Johnson has scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Sounders so far this season, and had a successful Gold Cup with the USAMNT, winning the competition and scoring two goals.
