Crystal Palace have been backed into odds-on to sign Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford on loan.
The 20-year-old is believed to be a target for several Premier League clubs after scoring 19 goals in the Championship last season to nearly fire Middlesbrough to promotion.
With Radamel Falcao having joined for at least the 2015-16 campaign, Chelsea are planning to send Bamford out on loan again, but this time with the aim of getting him top-flight experience.
He had been previously been linked with Newcastle United and Aston Villa, but SkyBet now make Palace clear 1/8 favourites after a series of bets on the England Under-21 international’s future.
Bamford was voted Championship Player of the Year last season, but was ruled out of the playoff final with injury as Boro lost 2-0 to Norwich City at Wembley.
He has yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea since joining from Nottingham Forest in 2012.
