Dutch defender completes his move to Russia.
Manchester United have confirmed that the sale of Dutch left-back Alex Buttner to Dynamo Moscow has been completed.
The 25-year-old joined United from Vitesse in August 2012 and made 28 first-team appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, scoring two goals.
He has now signed a two-year contract with Dynamo, who, unlike United, will compete in next season’s Champions League.
United signed a replacement for Buttner yesterday when 18-year-old England star Luke Shaw completed his switch from Southampton for a fee in the region of £30m.
The Old Trafford club also have Patrice Evra to call upon, after the former France captain signed a new 12-month deal earlier this summer.
United announced Buttner’s departure on Twitter.
