One Direction have covered the headlines over the past few weeks after Zayn Malik announced he would be leaving the boyband – and it’s no wonder Niall Horan has decided to take a break from his pop duties.
World no.1 Rory McIlroy has confirmed the singer will be carrying his bags and clubs, and can’t wait to spend some time with his friend at the Masters.
“He’s been excited to come here,” the 25-year-old told ESPN reporters.
“He’s never been to the Masters. I caught up with him in Australia at the end of last year and he was really excited, and I said, ‘If you’re available Wednesday afternoon and you want to carry the bag for nine holes, you’re more than welcome.’
“He’s excited to be here and looking forward to spending a bit of time with him out there tomorrow,” McIlroy added.
For the first time since 2004 Tiger Woods will also be competing in the lighthearted tournament – bringing along his son and daughter to be his caddies for the event.
