Reports in the Daily Mirror confirm the potential deal, with former Manchester City boss Mancini is keen on offering the player a route out of White Hart Lane, just 18 months on from his £17m move from Cortinthians.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has flown to London to have talks about a deal for the midfielder, with a loan deal the most likely outcome ahead of a possible £12m switch next summer.
Paulinho has struggled to make himself a regular under Pochettino, making just one appearance for the club all season. Meanwhile, the Spurs boss is keen to shake up his squad and produce funds, with West Brom’s Saido Berahino top of their January wish list.
The source adds that Pochettino has postponed a move for Jay Rodriguez after the Southampton striker’s injury setback, and it is believed that he will now go all out for Berahino as Spurs try to improve their firepower.
