Pistorius apparently thanked Jordan for her ‘support’ in mid-trial message.
British glamour model Katie Price, often referred to as Jordan, has claimed that Oscar Pistorius sent her direct Twitter messages during his trial for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Back in March, Price wrote in a newspaper column that she would not “judge” the Paralympic athlete based on media reports of the night Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead.
A month later, Pistorius apparently followed Price on Twitter and began to message her.
She told The Mirror: “He was direct messaging me during the case. It’s weird, isn’t it? He was saying, ‘Thanks for the support,’ and stuff. Just all general chit-chat. He was the first one to message me.
“Because I mentioned him in my column, he was referencing that. I wasn’t exactly supporting him, but everyone who goes through a trial will be the only one who knows what really happened. You’re innocent until you’re proven guilty.”
Pistorius was cleared of murder, but he was found guilty of culpable homicide and sentenced to five years in prison, although he could be out on house arrest in 10 months.
