Premier League’s highest wage bills – Liverpool & Chelsea outspent by Manchester United
The Blues are tantalisingly close to sealing their first Premier League title in five years, and could take a giant stride closer to their goal with victory over Arsenal on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho’s men are ten points clear at the summit, and victories over Arsenal and Leicester the following week would crown them champions once again.
And the young Brazilian playmaker believes that picking up the title this season would spark the start of a long dominant spell for the west London giants.
“This squad is really young and we’ve been playing together for a long time,” he told Goal.com.
“We are improving as the time goes by. This is good for the players and for the club. We know each others’ movements on the pitch.
“We know we are very close to the title but there are some challenges ahead.
“If we manage to lift this trophy and keep this level of performances we certainly will do some other good seasons like this one.
“They [Arsenal] have improved a lot. They have won almost every match they played recently.
“So we know they are a real threat. The good think is we’ve been doing well and we know that we are up to any challenge.”
However, doubts remain over Oscar’s future as he has since fallen out of favour in the side since his good form earlier in the campaign.
Jose Mourinho expressed doubts over his ability to track back and help out with defensive duties and has since opted to go with Cesc Fabregas in the number 10 position.
