WR Marvin Jones has been declared out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com on Saturday morning. Jones had been listed as questionable with an ankle injury, but he had not practiced all week.
The 24-year-old Jones caught 51 passes for 712 yards and eight touchdowns in 2013. However, he missed the first three regular season games of 2014 after foot surgery, and the ankle ailment has now cost him two games.
Jones is the second of two top targets in the Bengals offense that has missed time due to injuries. Pro Bowl WR A.J. Green is also listed as questionable due to an aggravated toe injury suffered during practice this week. Green has gone over 1,000 yards and made the Pro Bowl in each of his first 3 seasons.
