Adebayor announces the striker is back with the first team on Twitter.
Emmanuel Adebayor has been on the periphery of Andre Villas-Boas’ plans at Tottenham Hotspur for some time and the manager tried to sell the striker this summer.
However, a move away from White Hart Lane never materialised and the Portuguese coach made Adebayor train with the development squad when the 29-year-old returned after the break.
This was seen as a clear sign from Villas-Boas that the Togo international did not feature in Spurs’ plans in 2013/14, but with the high wages the forward demands chairman Daniel Levy was never going to let this wash.
So it seems to have proven as Adebayor has announced via the attacker’s Twitter account that the African is back training with the first team once again.
Hey guys, today was my first day back training with the first team. Good to be back and feeling good! Have a great day everyone!

Adebayor is behind both Roberto Soldado and Jermain Defoe in the pecking order for a place up-front and chances are likely to be limited for the Togolese star.
Yet with Tottenham currently competing in four different competitions, AVB may be pleased of the added support the striker will now provide.
The north London side’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Saturday puts the club third in the Premier League with 13 points from six matches and their next clash is a Europa League tie with Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday.
