Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who is well-known for his brash demeanor, was silent following the team’s loss to the San Diego Chargers and refused to speak to the media.
However, Sherman took to Twitter to point out that he only allowed three catches and didn’t allow a touchdown catch. He did this to refute the argument from fans that he was exposed.
He also fired back at Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen, who called him a “normal guy and not a shutdown corner.” “You know, when a guy wants his name in the paper, he’s gotta say something crazy,” Sherman told ESPN.
Sherman also claimed that his play against the Chargers was adequate despite the Seahawks losing. “I played pretty well. But it’s really funny that two little Chargers say I was exposed,” the Seahawks cornerback said.
The cornerback will look to prove that he is still the best cornerback in the game as the Seahawks face the Denver Broncos in a Super Bowl rematch.
