Parisians want Welsh winger at the Parc des Princes next season.
Big-spending Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to smash the world record transfer fee in order to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfield player Gareth Bale this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Wales international has been the subject of intense speculation of late linking him with a move away from White Hart Lane when the transfer window finally reopens for business once again on July 1, after having just enjoyed a sensational campaign with the north London club.
The 23-year-old was voted the double Footballer of the Year having scored 26 goals in just 44 matches in all competitions for Andre Villas-Boas’s side, including an impressive 21 strikes in only 33 Premier League outings for the club, although his form in front of goal was still not enough to see the Londoners finish in the top four of the top flight come the end of the campaign.
As a result, stories have been linking the wide man with a big-money move away from the Lane, with the Ligue 1 champions now understood to be preparing an £85 million bid to lure the winger to the French capital.
