Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will be staying at Bernabeu, but his summer did not come without transfer rumours.
According to the Daily Star, Paris Saint-Germain had attempted to lure the world-class Portuguese star to France with a £110m bid.
This bid was rejected by Real Madrid without hesitation though, as he scored an incredible 48 goals in 35 La Liga appearances last season.
PSG are expected to immediately target Ronaldo next summer though when the transfer window opens up again.
The defending Ligue 1 champions are searching for a replacement for star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is set reportedly set to leave for AC Milan after his contract expires.
Despite also being linked with Ronaldo, Manchester United may be out of the running to sing its former star after relations with Real Madrid broke down following the botched David de Gea transfer.
The two clubs have blamed each other for the failed deadline day deal, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez saying United transfer chief Ed Woodward “lacked experience”.
