New sports dietician recreates Chris Sandow.
Parramatta Eels’ new sports dietician is behind a new look Chris Sandow for the 2013 NRL season which has seen his drop 3.5kg’s of body fat over the pre-season.
Sandow is sending mobile pictures of his meals to dietician Joanne Turner who must first give her approval in a modern day mobile nutrition program according to Fox Sports.
After a lacklustre performance in the 2012 NRL season which saw him labelled by some as one of the worst trade buys by the Parramatta Eels Sandow is looking to energize his performance this season.
Ricky Stuart is already having an impact on the clubs professionalism with dietician Turner and manager of physical performance Trent Elkin shaping the players over the off-season.
Sandow admits that both himself and fellow star players Jared Hayne had been relying too much on their natural skill and ball handling rather and needed to work harder on their fitness and diet.
Confessing that both himself and Hayne had the worst diets of the club, he has been happy with the results since starting the program under Turner, and fans will be looking to see if this brings a revitalized performance to the Eel’s 2013 NRL season.
“All the boys are fitter and stronger than last year. I think all the boys are more confident than I’ve ever seen them.”
