Plenty of options coming the way of the Los Angeles centre.
Oklahoma City duo Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have made a strong pitch for Paul Gasol to sign with the team for the next NBA season.
Gasol is in talks with several teams this free agency period, including possibly re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers for another two years.
Both Durant and Westbrook met with Gasol on Wednesday and explained why they want to have him on the team despite some financial constraints on what they can offer him.
Of the teams Gasol wants to play with, only the Lakers can offer him a two-year contract close to what he would be worth on the open market of around $12 million a season.
However, the ability to link with a title contender such as the Thunder, along with San Antonio and Chicago who are also chasing Gasol signature depending on other free agent targets, could see Gasol leave LA.
Chicago Bulls officials, meanwhile, have scheduled a Thursday trip to Los Angeles to court Gasol, according to sources close to the process.
The New York Knicks have also been after Gasol as a possible replacement for Tyson Chandler who was recently traded back to Dallas.
