Paul Pogba channeled his inner Red Devil after Juventus’ Champions League win over Man City.
Following the 2-1 upset win for Juventus at Etihad Stadium over Manchester City, former Man United midfielder Paul Pogba decided to poke some fun at the Citizens in homage to his former team.
According to the Telegraph, after the win over Man City Pogba went to his official Facebook account and posted “Qatar City 1 – 2 Juventus. Great win. Thank you for your support.”
The “Qatar City” reference was likely a reference to Man City billionaire owner Sheikh Mansour. Though Pogba may have gotten his insults confused: Sheikh Mansour is from the Abu Dhabi of the UAE, not Qatar.
Pogba’s comments do come as a bit of a blow to Man City’s chances of landing him in a transfer deal. Man City had reportedly entered the race with Chelsea for the Golden Boy’s signature, but a direct insult to the owner may dump some cold water on that idea.
That said, Pogba certainly has no love for Man United, where he had a falling out with Sir Alex Ferguson before ultimately signing with Juventus and leading the club to three straight Serie A titles.
