BT pundit Michael Owen ambitiously wants his former club Liverpool to replace Steven Gerrard with Juventus superstar Paul Pogba, reports the Daily Mail.
“Steven Gerrard’s not going to go on forever so the ideal replacement there would probably be someone like Paul Pogba at Juventus,” he said.
“He’s an exceptional talent, a young talent that can play in that drive an central midfield role.”
While Pogba would be a ludicrously good signing for any club in European football, the links to Liverpool seem a little spurious.
The Reds spent their Luis Suarez windfall in the summer, and are unlikely to be able to beat the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea for £80m rated French international.
