Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will join the club on loan until January, according to Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam.
CONFIRMED: Frank Lampard joins Man City on loan until the end of January, more on SSN now.
He's requested NOT to be selected v Chelsea.

Pellegrini made the comments in the wake of City’s penalty defeat to Olympiakos in a pre-season friendly, following an entertaining 2-2 draw that saw Steven Jovetic continue his fine pre-season form.
The possibility of Lampard moving on loan to Eastlands emerged in recent days, after the England international signed for New York City FC, Manchester City’s sister club, when they become part of MLS next season.
McAdam also suggests, however, that Lampard will ask City not to be selected against Chelsea when the two teams meet next season – an unprecedented situation for a Premier League player.
