The Chilean believes he is better prepared for the new season than his rival Premier League managers.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has demonstrated his confidence ahead of the new Premier League season by hailing his squad as the best in England.
The Chilean, who took over the Etihad Stadium reins from Roberto Mancini earlier this summer, inherited a squad brimming with world class talent from his predecessor and immediately aspired to added even more with a near £90 million spending spree.
Fernandinho, Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo and the much sought after Stevan Jovetic arrived, while Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea had their noses pressed up against the transfer window in envy.
City’s title rivals have so far abstained from dipping into their lavish transfer budgets, and it is why Pellegrini feels more suitably prepared for the start of the 2013/14 campaign.
“I think we have the best squad in England,” he told Sky Sports. “We bought four important players, we already had a very good team and with these four players I think we improved a lot.”

“We hope that from the first match against Newcastle at home we will start winning, and we will try to bring another trophy here.
