New Zealand rookie Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is expected to be ruled out of the entire Four Nations tournament with a broken foot.
Watene-Zelezniak is set to be sidelined for six weeks just after being named on the wing for the Kiwi’s opening clash with Australia on Friday.
The Panthers flyer sustained the injury in what reportedly appeared to be an innocuous foot complaint at a Gold Coast beach on Sunday.
Manu Vatuvei or Sosaia Feki are on standby to fill in at wing for New Zealand.
“Dallin is an exciting young prospect who we think will play many Tests for the Kiwis in the future,” Kiwi coach Stephen Kearney told AAP.
