The Daily Mail reported that the deal is worth approximately £11 million.
Cech had been on the outs in Chelsea with club manager Jose Mourinho favoring Thibaut Courtois during the 2014-15 Championship season. Though Mourinho was reportedly reluctant to sell Cech to a Premier League rival, the Mail Online reported that Cech preferred to stay in London, close to his family and club owner Roman Abramovich acquiesced.
In 11 seasons with the Blues, Cech was a three-time Premier League Golden Glove winner and was the Chelsea Player of the Year in 2011. With 162 clean sheets in just 333 appearances for Chelsea, Cech is just eight away from tying the Premier League record owned by David James.
