Eagles head coach Chip Kelly revealed that he has always liked the dual-threat quarterback. “I’ve always been a fan of Tim. We bring in a lot of players for private workouts, it’s just he’s the one that everyone keeps talking about,” Kelly said to NFL Total Access.
Kelly pointed out exactly what has prevented many teams from taking a chance on the polarizing quarterback.
Tebow received heavy coverage from ESPN and every other sports network in his time as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos.
He eventually rode the bench for the New York Jets and was released before an unsuccessful tryout with the New England Patriots.
Despite his potential distraction, Tebow provides Kelly with a mobile quarterback, which he loves working with as he showed at Oregon while making stars of his running backs.
