The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Jones to a two-year contract, giving them linebacker depth. He will not likely win a starting job since he struggled as a starter for the Packers.
He should still receive special teams reps and plenty of playing time as a reserve linebacker for the Eagles though. Mychal Kendricks and Casey Matthews are currently the starting inside linebackers.
Jones should have a smooth transition to the Eagles defense though since he has played in a 3-4 scheme his entire career.
