Gattuso says his former teammate Pirlo was ‘always making jokes’.

Former AC Milan star Ivan Gattuso has revealed ex-teammate Andrea Pirlo has the ‘face of an angel but is a son of a bitch’.

For over a decade, Gattuso and Pirlo formed one of the finest midfield pairings in world football before the latter departed for Juventus in 2011.

Gattuso, who left the San Siro the following season, has revealed the legendary playmaker is a prankster and recalled an incident when Pirlo text Milan vice-present Adriano Galliani and former general manager Ariedo Briada from his phone.

“Pirlo has the face of an angel but is a son of a bitch, always making jokes, always breaking the rules, never standing still,” Gattuso, 35, told TuttoJuve.

“One day when I was eating at Milanello, I had the bright idea of leaving my phone on the table, and he sent a text message to Galliani and Braida offering them my sister with my phone!”
