Sol Campbell

The most well-known and controversial figure on this list is former England centre back Sol Campbell, who made the bosman move from Tottenham Hotspur to Arsenal, immediately making him number one figure of hate at White Hart Lane. Campbell found huge success under Arsene Wenger, however, and was a key part of their hugely successful spell in the early 2000s, rubbing salt into the wounds of underachieving Spurs, who would still target Campbell with cries of ‘Judas’ until he retired after short spells with Notts County, Newcastle United and back at Arsenal.
