Hull City’s Alex Bruce praises Wenger’s classy Arsenal.
Hull City centre half Alex Bruce says defending against Arsenal ‘was like trying to mark the Red Arrows’ after the Gunners 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
BBC Humberside’s David Burns reported Bruce’s comments on twitter and the comparison with the Royal Air Force’s legendary Aerobatic Team of fighter jets will only please Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Despite making five changes to the side that beat Cardiff City 3-0 away, Wenger’s side lined-up with Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey in midfield and dominated the visitors from the first whistle.
Nicklas Bendtner scored his first goal for the club since March 2011 after just two minutes, before Ozil added a second after a lovely through ball from Ramsey.
Arsenal sit four points clear at the top of the table, ten points ahead of North London rivals Tottenham and 12 in front of champions Manchester United.
