Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea)
Although Ruben Loftus-Cheek is closer to the Chelsea first team, it is Chalobah who has earned more experience with England U21s, and is therefore more likely to start here.
Will Hughes (Derby County)
Will Hughes’ intelligent passing and dribbling should help drive England U21s forward. He’s also tenacious in the tackle, and will help Chalobah protect the defence before launching attacks.
Alex Pritchard (Tottenham Hotspur)
A strong season on loan at Brentford should see Pritchard start for England U21s this summer. His 12 goals in 45 appearances were instrumental in the club reaching the playoffs, and Gareth Southgate will hope to see similar return this summer.
