It’s maybe a surprise that Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph and Adnan Januzaj of Manchester United are excluded, but for what he has brought to the team Barkley has to be included.
The 20-year-old has had plenty of faith put in him by manager Roberto Martinez and this has paid off, with the attacking midfielder scoring five goals this term.
