Arsenal vs Liverpool: Combined XI featuring Alexis Sanchez & Raheem Sterling in Reds’ 3-4-3 formation
It’s an enviable task for Rodgers’ side who face a Gunners side who’ve lost just once this season at the Emirates and are the form team of 2015, winning their last seven fixtures on the bounce.
Meanwhile, the Reds find themselves five points off the Champions League places and a defeat at the Emirates would see that gap likely extend to eight if Manchester United can also win this match day.
Liverpool certainly need a commanding performance, but given suspensions to Steven Gerrard and Martin Skrtel, Rodgers may not have the ability to select the side he truly wants to play.
Here’s how we see the Reds lining up.
GK: Simon Mignolet
A shaky opening half to the season is just a distant memory with Mignolet’s good form prompting speculation he could even remain the Liverpool no.1 next season.
RCB: Emre Can
Perhaps Liverpool’s best signing in terms of value for money. It will be up to him to ensure Arsenal’s versatile attackers are kept at bay on the wing.
