GK: David De Gea
The Spaniard has been troubled with a minor injury in pre-season so far, while he has also had to deal with off the field distractions with transfer speculation.
However, it is suggested that he has shaken off the problem and could return to action.
DF: Luke Shaw

DF: Daley Blind
Marcos Rojo is still not available and no new recruits are incoming just yet. As a result, Blind will continue to fill in at centre half.

Van Gaal has looked to get some stability as far as possible so far and Jones will likely continue to start with Chris Smalling coming off the bench.
DF: Antonio Valencia
Similarly to De Gea, Valencia has been out with a minor injury so far this summer but he could return and get some much need playing time ahead of Matteo Darmian.
