Who is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League? Here are the top ten based on their respective transfer values in the new Sky Sports fantasy football game…
=9. Sergio Romero – £5.3m (Manchester United)
Unless David de Gea is sold to Real Madrid, this would be an awful pick for any fantasy football manager. After all, you don’t get any points for sitting on the bench.
=9. Maarten Stekelenburg – £5.3m (Southampton)
One would expect Stekelenburg to be no.2 – unless Fraser Forster’s injury woes continue – so £5.3m seem a bit steep.
=7. Hugo Lloris – £5.4m (Tottenham Hotspur)
Lloris is Tottenham’s best player, but he may move this season. If he does leave, it will only be to become Man United’s no.1, so he should be starting – and starring – every week in the Premier League whatever happens. However, he will miss the opening weekend with a fractured wrist.
=7. Lukasz Fabianski – £5.4m (Swansea City)
A revelation since his arrival from Arsenal last summer. Not the best back four in front of him, but the Pole is a regular starter with MOTM potential.
