Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool
If the Reds are to win the title for the first time since 1990 then there is no doubting that Rodgers deserves to be crowned best boss.
However, even if the Northern Irishman does not manage to guide his team to first place, taking on the financial might of Chelsea and Manchester City is nothing to be sniffed at.
The Merseysiders have long been regarded as the glory side of the past, with their fans living on former successes from the 1970s and 80s.
Yet by getting the best out of his relatively small squad – particularly the previously maligned players such as Jordan Henderson, Jon Flanagan and Raheem Sterling – Rodgers has shown his coaching prowess.
Perhaps the only downside to the 41-year-old’s game – as his tactics are spot on with the ability to change formations to great effect – is his dealings in the transfer market, with this season’s haul of Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas, Tiago Ilori, Kolo Toure and even Simon Mignolet having been underwhelming.
