Roberto Martinez, Everton
Admittedly a 2-3 home defeat to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night hardly justifies Martinez’s cause, but the Spaniard has been a sensation since succeeding Moyes at Goodison Park.
The 40-year-old’s talent and admirable style was known having impressed at both Swansea City and Wigan Athletic, but not many thought the Toffees would be challenging for a Champions League spot this term.
Some shrewd deadline day signings last summer have really helped the team, with Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku arriving on-loan and James McCarthy signed from the Latics.
Martinez has also gotten the best out of the young talent on Merseyside, with Ross Barkley having greatly improved, John Stones breaking through and Gerard Deulofeu impressing on-loan from Barcelona.
It looks as if the team probably won’t make the top tier of European football now, but the Europa League is a great success.
